Dulwich Sports Club's display is on Saturday 7 November, gates 5pm, fireworks about 7pm. Tickets are £13, £8 and £1, and none are sold at the gate.

The Dulwich Firework Display is on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Dulwich Sports Club, Giant Arches Road, SE24 9HP. Gates open at 5pm, live music runs from 5.30pm, and the fireworks go off at about 7pm, “come rain or shine”. The display lasts roughly 15 to 20 minutes.

Bonfire night itself falls on Thursday 5 November this year, so the Dulwich display is on the Saturday after it, not the night.

Two things to get right before anything else. There are no tickets on the night, and the club says the event “always sells out”. Tickets went on sale on 3 August 2026 and were still available when we checked on 5 September.

Prices

The club’s own Eventbrite listing gives three face values:

  • Full price £13
  • Juniors £8
  • Kids under 12, £1, the “kid for a quid” ticket

Under-12s still need a ticket even at a pound. The club explains why in a footnote: it is “to enable tracking of total numbers in attendance”. Eventbrite adds a booking fee on top, and the highest price shown in the listing data is £14.49, so budget about £1.49 a head above the face value.

Refunds are narrow. The club’s policy is that “refunds will only be given in the event that no fireworks are set off”. If you cannot go, it points you at Tixel, its official resale partner, which it sets up a month before the event.

The gap between gates and fireworks is nearly two hours, which is why the food stalls and the music matter as much as the display.

Getting there, because there is no parking

The club is blunt about this: “There is no parking available onsite on the night.” It asks people to walk, cycle or use public transport.

  • Trains: a 10 minute walk from Herne Hill, North Dulwich and West Dulwich.
  • Buses: the 3 and 201 to Croxted Road / Turney Road, the 37 to Half Moon Lane / Burbage Road.
  • Entrances: two access and exit points, via Giant Arches onto Burbage Road and onto Turney Road. Regulars should note the Turney Road route, which is a change from the old single entrance.
  • Step-free access is via the tarmac road on Giant Arches off Burbage Road.

The club also warns about “illegal street sellers operating on Burbage & Turney Roads”, which are nothing to do with the event.

The rules that catch people out

  • No sparklers. They will not be allowed on site.
  • No alcohol brought in. There are bars, including mulled wine and real ale.
  • Under-16s must be with a responsible adult and supervised throughout.
  • Buggies must be left in the buggy parks at the entrances, one by the clubhouse and one on the tennis courts near the Turney Road gate. No buggies in the pavilion or the main spectator area.
  • Dogs are discouraged rather than banned. The club cites RSPCA advice on fireworks noise. Assistance dogs are the exception.
  • Toilets are on the cricket field, near the cricket nets.

Food and drink runs to burgers, BBQ, Indian, pizza, a kids’ bar, mulled wine and real ale. The music is headlined by Matthew Lynch, playing crowd favourites and children’s songs from 5.30pm to 7pm. The display is fired by Brilliant Fireworks, and the event is promoted by Irvin Leisure.

Is there a Southwark Council display? No, and there will not be

If you are looking for the old Southwark Park display, it is gone, and the council has said so plainly. In a statement dated 5 October 2022, Southwark Council confirmed “that the firework display in Southwark Park will not be taking place this year, with no plans for its return going forward”. Cllr Catherine Rose, then cabinet member for leisure, parks, streets and clean air, gave the reason as the cost of living crisis and the fallout from Covid: “We will be using our resources for this, and to support our parks all year round.”

Nothing has changed since. There is no fireworks event in Southwark’s Southwark Presents listings for this autumn, and no council display at Peckham Rye, Burgess Park or Southwark Park. In this borough, bonfire night is now something clubs and volunteers put on, which is exactly what Dulwich Sports Club is doing.
