Twenty Thousand Streets, Southwark Playhouse: to 17 October

Southwark runs about five miles inland from the river. Borough, London Bridge, Bermondsey and Rotherhithe are at the top, Walworth and Elephant behind them, then Camberwell and Peckham, then Nunhead, Herne Hill, East Dulwich and Dulwich Village on the higher ground at the southern end. The borough’s name belongs to the riverside strip, and hardly anyone in Dulwich uses it about themselves.

Dulwich Today covers the whole of it. Southwark Council decides the planning applications, the licences, the parking zones and the bin rounds from one end to the other, and it publishes the evidence for those decisions where almost nobody reads it.
